If Old Quilts Could Talk .....

I wish this quilt could talk and tell me its story. Its a beautiful calico quilt and awesome handwork but as you can see from the photo someone burned a nice size hole in it. Actually there are several burn holes all about the same size. Why would someone do that ? Poor quilt. I'm up tonight cutting it and give it a chance at a new life. I will make a few bears, hearts and pillows. Any thing extra I will post for sale in my Etsy Shop.
