What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I made my first sock monkey the one on the left. I thought he looked alittle different, more like a monster than a monkey so I went on line an actually looked at a few sock monkies. I wasn't lucky enough to have ever had one, I had no clue to what they should look like. After looking around at a few I tried again. I think my second effort is way better than my first. There is no right or wrong way to make a sock monkey its all what you like. I just wanted mine to actually look like a monkey. I think I'm on the right track now. I'm off to re work my first attempt.
