Whatcha Working On Wednesday .......

Tonight I'm working on a few old quilt snowmen and I'm using a design by Bits of Cloth. She attached her's to just a plain bell but me making them from old quilt needed something with alittle weight to it to support the old quilt. I found these dinner bells at Hobby Lobby and I thought perfect all I had to do was antique with alittle paint. My first thought was to shorten the snowball and make part of the wood handle his hat by just adding a brim. They looked more like a pumpkin so I then decided to try to stuff them firmly. I love the results. Much much better. I'm making them completely out of old quilt even his hat and then I'm painting it black. I love working with old quilt. Working with old quilt can really change up a pattern. Its always a surprise when working with old quilt. Sometimes I wish the quilts could talk what stories they would tell. Enough talking I'm off to sew awhile. I'll post again when done.
